Ep. 93 – Christy King, DPM, FACFAS

Dean’s Chat hosts, Dr. Jeffrey Jensen and Dr. Johanna Richey, are joined by Dr. Christy King, a successful podiatric physician from Oakland, CA.

She currently practices with Kaiser Permanente at the Oakland Medical Center. Dr. King graduated from Boston University with her degree in Biology and Psychology. She went onto graduate from the College of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University and then did her surgical residency training with the Kaiser Bay Area Foot and Ankle Residency Programs. Join us for an overview of the Kaiser SF Residency program, its structure, the clerkship experience, and her teaching style/philosophy.

As a Division 1 athlete, Dr. King has fostered a team-like spirit to her approach in training the next generation of surgeons. Tune in to hear our discussion on the similarities between surgeons and athletes who are always expected to perform at their peak potential.
